Designing Print Marketing Samples with Style and Whimsy
Sylvamo wanted to create a series of print marketing application samples to help the brand’s sales team convey the power of high-quality print marketing collateral to potential customers across a range of vertical markets. Each sample also needed to demonstrate the versatility and superior print quality of the Sylvamo family of paper brands, including Accent® Opaque, Springhill®, Hammermill®, and Williamsburg.
CRAFTING BRANDS FROM SCRATCH
We created a fictitious brand and print application sample for the insurance, telecommunication, automotive, and higher education industries. Each application sample featured a range of print samples to demonstrate how real brands in these markets can leverage print across a variety of touchpoints. The telecom sample for Moon, a TV and internet provider, included a promotional door hanger, welcome pamphlet, and referral card to show how brands can use print at each stage of the customer journey.
We also incorporated components like quick response (QR) codes that launched landing pages and videos to highlight the importance of using print to create multi-channel marketing campaigns. We also designed multiple pieces in each sample to include exciting finishings like die-cutting, foiling, perforation, and UV coating to emphasize how these techniques can create more memorable print collateral that engages audiences on a deeper level.
A BINDER TO BEHOLD
These application samples were collected in a Sylvamo vertical kit binder to give the sales team a quick and easy-to-use resource for showcasing the kind of dynamic print materials brands can create by choosing Sylvamo paper. These application samples have also become showpieces at industry trade shows and conferences, and they serve as an inspiration for marketers and graphic designers working in the target vertical markets.
