If your summer goal is to spend less time digging through CRM records and more time actually enjoying the warm weather, these HubSpot updates are about to be your best friend.
Each month, HubSpot releases dozens of updates. These new tools can be hard to keep track of, so as a Platinum HubSpot Solutions Partner, Trekk is here with our HubSpot Enablement Specialist Somer Baier to break down what new updates you need to know about, and how you can use them to improve your sales, marketing, and communication.
As Trekk's HubSpot Enablement Specialist, here are some updates that stood out to me, from timely record updates to powerful new AI-driven enhancements.
How to use HubSpot date conditional logic for cleaner data
All Professional and enterprise hubs
In HubSpot, date fields can now trigger conditional properties, making relevant fields appear or become required automatically. For sales teams, reports and handoffs are only as effective as the data behind them. When completion dates, reasons for delay, or next steps live in email threads or personal notes, pipeline reviews turn into detective work. Instead of relying on those follow-up emails or manual audits to understand what happened, HubSpot prompts users to capture the context right away, improving accountability, reporting accuracy, and visibility into potential bottlenecks.
This update brings that critical context into standard HubSpot properties and activity timelines. With date and datetime properties now available in conditional property logic, you can automatically require a "Reason for Delay" field whenever a completion date is entered that is after the due date. That means you can require explanations when deadlines slip, or reveal follow-up fields only when a milestone is reached, without adding clutter for every record or user every time.
This update makes note taking easier on your sales team, allowing reps to provide an answer before the question is even asked. If your team is managing deals, orders, or customer requests with target completion dates in HubSpot, setting up a date conditional property simplifies the process of knowing exactly what's going on in the deal, immediately. This update gives you better data to tell the clear story you need.
Try out the Date and Datetime Properties in Conditional Property Logic feature with these steps:
-
In your HubSpot account, go to Settings, then click Properties in the left sidebar.
-
Select your object type (e.g., Contacts), then click the Conditional logic tab.
-
Click Create logic and select a date or datetime property as your controlling property.
-
Set your condition (e.g., is known, is before, or is after a specific date), then add the dependent properties to show or require.
AI call and meeting summaries for immediate answers
All hubs and tiers
Whether you're closing a deal or supporting an existing customer, accurate conversation context is critical. HubSpot's AI conversation summaries turn raw transcripts into role-specific insights. These summaries highlight buyer needs, key concerns, and agreed next steps, so anyone revisiting a call can scan instead of replaying a 45-minute recording. To use this tool, you can click into a specific recording in your HubSpot and select "Generate call summary."
HubSpot's update to conversation summaries for calls and meetings includes:
- Tailored templates
- Editable summaries
- Breeze Q&A
With this update, users can enhance AI conversation summaries by selecting persona specific templates that add role-specific context to summaries. For example, a sales-focused summary could emphasize objections and commitments, while a service-focused summary would capture issues and resolutions.
Users can also edit summaries, meaning team members can correct errors or add details the transcript may have missed, which keeps trust high when people rely on AI-generated notes. This ensures 100% accuracy and allows you to add additional context a traditional transcript wouldn't capture. AI can only work with what it knows, so this feature provides as much important information and context as possible for highly effective reporting.
If I have any questions after generating the summary and making any necessary edits, I use the Breeze Assistant. The "ask me anything" experience in Breeze lets users ask questions like "What risks did the customer mention?" or "What did we promise for the next meeting?" and get immediate answers based on the transcript and summary. By making conversation insights easier to capture, refine, and access, teams can deliver a more seamless customer experience while spending less time reviewing notes and recordings.
