October 2026 HubSpot Updates You Need to Know About

By:

Something spooky is lurking in your HubSpot portal, but don’t worry, it’s only new features. This month’s updates are meant to scare away the busywork, not you.

Each month, HubSpot releases dozens of updates. These new tools can be hard to keep track of, so as a Platinum HubSpot Solutions Partner, Trekk is here with our HubSpot Enablement Specialist Somer Baier to break down new updates you need to know about and how you can use them to improve your sales, marketing, and communication.

In this month's post, you'll find some extra updates in your treat bag but no tricks here, just helpful stuff you’ll actually want to use. Grab your pumpkin spice latte and let’s dig in.

Combination operators comes to conditional property logic

Service Hub, Sales Hub, Data Hub, Smart CRM, Marketing Hub Pro, and Marketing Hub Enterprise

HubSpot’s conditional property logic used to evaluate just one property at a time. Now you can combine multiple conditions with AND and OR logic, so the right fields appear only when the right criteria are met. That means cleaner records, better data quality, and no extra effort from your team.

If you’re a sales manager and a sales representative just moved a deal to Closed Won, you need different billing details depending on the deal type before it can go to finance. With multi-condition logic, the “Billing contact” and “Payment terms” properties appear only when the Deal Stage is Closed Won AND the Deal Type is New Business. Add an OR condition and the same fields can also show up when the Amount is over $50,000, so large renewals and upsells get the same handoff details.

Reps closing small renewals never see the extra fields, but finance gets everything it needs on the deals that matter. The result of this live update is a smoother handoff, less back-and-forth, and cleaner records.

How does it work?

  1. In your HubSpot account, go to Settings, then click Properties in the left sidebar.
  2. Select your object type (e.g., Contacts), then click the Conditional logic tab.
  3. Click Create logic and set your first condition, adding a property, operator, and value if applicable.
  4. Add more conditions to your group or add more groups with other conditions. You can duplicate a group to customize logic more quickly.
  5. Click Save logic.

Avoid cleanup by undoing enrichment data changes

All Hubs and Tiers

HubSpot’s enrichment tools can automatically update company and contact records with fresh data. But, until now, a bad overwrite meant spending time manually hunting down and retyping the old values.

Now, with the live update to undo enrichment data changes, you can roll a record back to what it was before the enrichment ran. That means less risk, more trust in automation, and no cleanup marathon for your team.

How does it work?

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Settings > Data enrichment and open the Activity tab.
  2. Find the enrichment activity you want to reverse and click Details to view every record affected.
  3. Select the records to revert. Select records individually, or use Select all records to revert the entire batch. To revert only specific properties, click the "x properties were updated" link on a record and select the properties (all are selected by default).
  4. Click Revert enrichment to restore the original values. Records or properties that were already reverted can't be reverted again.
  5. When the job completes, you'll receive a notification with a summary of how many records were reverted or failed, and a link back to the activity log.

Analyze your help desk and customer agent performance by topic

Service Hub Pro and Enterprise

HubSpot now uses AI to automatically identify what your customers are contacting you about and lets you analyze Help Desk and Customer Agent performance by those topics. There’s no manual tagging and no setup, so you get a clear view of what’s driving volume and where your team can improve right out of the box.

With the Topics beta, AI classifies recurring themes across tickets and conversations, so you can view topic and subtopic data within your reports and even create custom topics to track the issues that are specific to your business.

Picture this: You’re a support manager, and ticket volume has crept up over the past month, but you can’t tell why. Your manual ticket categories are inconsistent because reps tag conversations differently, so the data doesn’t give you a straight answer.

With Topics, every conversation and ticket is classified automatically, and you can see at a glance that a spike in “Billing questions” is driving much of the increase. You also notice your Customer Agent resolves password resets on its own but struggles with billing inquiries, which keep getting escalated to your reps.

Now you know exactly where to focus: you build a billing Knowledge Base article to help the Customer Agent and coach your team on the most common billing issues. Because Topics keeps classifying new conversations, you can also catch the next emerging issue early instead of finding out after it becomes a fire drill.

Customize and reuse your CRM metrics

All Hubs and Tiers

With this public beta update, you can now configure CRM metrics directly from the index views for Deals, Contacts, Companies, and Tickets, and reuse them anywhere.

Each metric comes with automatic time series charts and owner and team breakdowns, and you can save it as a report or send it to a dashboard. Define a metric once and use it across views, global home, and board views, so your numbers stay consistent and you stop rebuilding the same formulas in multiple places.

For example, if a sales manager checks the Deals index page every Monday to see how the team’s pipeline is looking, they no longer have to rebuild the same formulas in a separate report. They can add an “Open pipeline value” metric right from the Deals view and filter it to the team’s deals.

HubSpot automatically generates a time series chart showing how the pipeline has changed over time, plus a breakdown by owner so the sales manager can see which reps are driving the numbers. They can save the metric to the sales dashboard and use the same one on Global Home, so the number on the Deals page matches what shows up everywhere else, with no manual reconciling before a Monday meeting.

How does it work?

  1. Open the metrics panel and click the three dots in the right corner
  2. Select "add metric" then "Create new metric" to open the side panel for configuring a new metric.
  3. Available configuration options:
    1. Name — the display label for the metric
    2. Description — how the metric should be used
    3. Custom Formula or Property and Aggregation — the calculation to perform on the amount property (Sum, Average, Min, Max)
    4. Filter By Date — for time-filtered views, the date property used to include or exclude records from the calculation
    5. Filters — optional conditions to scope the metric to specific records (e.g., "Is closed won = True")

To remove, edit, or save a metric, hover over any metric and click the vertical three-dot icon to access options to edit, save as a report, or remove the metric from your view.

To analyze metrics in depth, click on the metric to open a chart view and see AI-generated insights about the metric. You can view the metric either over time or broken down by owner or team.

Improve organization by creating custom conversation summaries

Service Hub and Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise

HubSpot now lets users build their own conversation summary templates, so on-demand summaries match the way each team actually works. You can create, edit, and manage personal templates and reuse them whenever you generate a meeting summary. Defining the format once and reusing it saves time and makes summaries more relevant from the start, with no more reformatting by hand after the fact.

Let’s break down what this update could look like in practice. An account executive wraps up a discovery call and wants to log qualification details without spending time reformatting her notes. She creates a custom conversation summary template called “BANT Qualification” with four sections: Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline.

After the call, she generates an on-demand summary using that template. HubSpot then returns the conversation organized under those four headings, flagging anything that wasn’t covered, like budget, so she knows what to follow up on. Every call now follows the same qualification structure, which makes deals easier to compare, handoffs cleaner, and pipeline data more consistent for the sales manager.
