Rockford-based creative agency Trekk has been awarded a Vega Digital Award and an AVA Digital Award for its work on Road Ranger's website redesign.
About Road Ranger's Website Redesign
Road Ranger, which operates 38 travel centers throughout the Midwest and Southwest, wanted a website that would effectively communicate its brand to a diverse group of target audiences, from moms on the go to long-haul truck drivers.
The new site needed to enable users to locate the travel center closest to them, access current fuel prices, and easily participate in the Road Ranger rewards program. Road Ranger also wanted to use the site to promote special offers and recruit prospective employees, as well as put more focus on their fresh, on-the-go food choices.
Trekk undertook an in-depth discovery process that included defining Road Ranger’s target buyer personas, completing an extensive competitive analysis, and understanding the design preferences of the organization’s key stakeholders. Then, focusing on providing maximum utility to every Road Ranger customer, Trekk designed and built a website that vastly improves the user experience while communicating Road Ranger’s superior customer service and care for its customers and employees. Road Ranger’s locations and food & drink offerings are front and center, and so is its new brand message: A little R&R goes a long way.
Road Ranger's new website is easy to navigate for users, and its powerful Drupal backend makes updates and future development easy for administrators, too. Most importantly, it was designed for mobile in order to meet Road Ranger customers where they’re at: on the go!
