This fun, multi-touchpoint print campaign featuring a fictitious meal delivery service showcases how digital print can make a lasting impression.
The goal: put the spotlight on the press
Canon, in partnership with thINK, was looking for an application sample to show off the capabilities of its new varioPRINT iX-series press. The varioPRINT iX sheetfed inkjet press combines stunning image quality and a wide media range with the high productivity, cost-efficiency, and variable data capabilities of inkjet printing. Canon wanted to showcase these benefits by creating a high-end campaign featuring vibrant colors and personalization.
A clear and bold heading
To create this application sample, we designed a fictional brand — Open Kitchen, a good delivery service with a mission to connect people through food — and developed its launch campaign.
Every touchpoint personalized
Included in the application sample kit are print pieces that demonstrate a customer’s journey from awareness through post-purchase, with variability in both text and images. The samples begin with a variable Launch Announcement Bifold Brochure, followed by a Recipe Booklet shipped in each customer's first order.
The Recipe Booklet comes complete with detachable Recipe Cards, printed on synthetic stock and based on the customer's chosen menu. A Post-Purchase Postcard with referral coupon follows their first box, and a Quarterly Newsletter Trifold keeps them engaged.
Award-winning design shows off the power of print
This campaign, which is available on the thINK website for thINK members to print and use as an application sample, took home the Sappi Best Use of Paper Award at the 2022 PRINT Awards.
