A Home for Video
Weldcoa is an international provider of gas storage and processing solutions, with a special emphasis on compressed gas infrastructure for a variety of industries. The company needed an on-demand video platform to house a large number of training videos that educate customers on key topics within the gas industry. The company wanted the library to be accessible to Weldcoa customers only and needed the platform to be user-friendly and filterable by category or topic for a streamlined UX.

The Weldcoa On-Demand video library uses a Netflix-like approach to highlight new and trending videos, complete with video thumbnails, previews, and detailed search capabilities to help customers find videos quickly and easily.
Lights, Camera, Action!
We used the HubSpot CMS to build a customer membership website page and built a custom HubDB table to house all the components necessary for an easy-to-use library — this includes video thumbnails, descriptions, and category and topic tags. We also password protected this page to create an exclusive environment for Weldcoa customers and implemented an automated membership approval workflow based on the customer domain to streamline user access.
To simplify the process of searching and viewing videos and create the video viewing experience Weldcoa envisioned, Trekk’s Technical team developed several custom HubSpot modules. The library has the ability to play videos in-screen as opposed to redirecting to a separate page, keeping users in the library ecosystem. In addition, we customized the HubDB to automatically update and categorize videos the moment they’re uploaded to the website, and the use of a featured video section helps Weldcoa highlight new or time-sensitive video content.
On the backend, we created a series of custom HubSpot reporting dashboards to help Weldcoa analyze video performance data and customer engagement analytics for a more detailed understanding of which videos customers find most relevant and valuable.
Launched in May 2024, the Weldcoa On-Demand library initially received 107 membership requests, and the library currently has more than 180 active members. The ability to analyze detailed user login and activity data helps Weldcoa better understand customer needs and create new video content that will resonate with customers.
