A clear and bold heading
These project spotlight and employee testimonial videos help Renaissance Historic Exteriors tell a unique story of commitment and dedication to the craft of historic building restoration.

A window to the work
Renaissance Historic Exteriors is an internationally renowned provider of restoration services for historic commercial and residential properties. The company executes complex repair and replacement work on unique buildings across the country, and they wanted to document in-progress projects in a visual way that demonstrated their superior care and craftsmanship, along with their 30+ years of history and experience.
A clear and bold heading
We used a variety of video capture and production techniques — including drone and timelapse footage — to create narrative-driven project spotlight videos that detail the work Renaissance does, and also the importance of that work to the people connected to the project.
Connecting projects and people with video
Trekk’s content and creative teams collaborated to capture original, on-site video of the restoration work, along with interviews of property stakeholders and Renaissance employees, to create a library of dynamic video content that helps further the Renaissance brand story.
For instance, one of the project spotlights chronicles the restoration of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Springfield, Illinois, an institution with more than 100 years of history. We used drone and timelapse video technology to capture detailed restoration work on the church roof, steeple, and special adornments. We also conducted extensive video interviews with those connected to the church to help communicate the importance of preserving historic buildings as a window into the life and journey of a community.
Another project video outlined the restoration of the historic Funderburg House in Belvidere, Illinois, a private mansion-turned-museum that provides visitors with a glimpse into the city’s colorful past. This spotlight combined video footage and still photography for a more diverse look at the museum work.
We also interviewed several Renaissance restoration specialists as part of a robust employer branding and recruitment campaign. The video format gave these employees a platform to speak to their professional — and personal — growth as part of the Renaissance team, and they helped demonstrate the human element behind each and every project Renaissance undertakes.
We published these videos on the Renaissance website and YouTube channel, and we also leveraged a variety of short clips from each video for use on social media to reach potential customers in as many digital venues as possible.

The power of video — especially given the rise of AI-generated content — resides in authenticity, in letting actual people reveal themselves and their unique human experiences in service of connecting with an audience. We harnessed this power to create a multi-channel brand story that shines a brighter light on the who, where, what, and why of Renaissance Historic Exteriors.
